Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 4/5/2025
Welcome to Sourdough Stoop, your cozy little spot for freshly baked, soul-warming sourdough! By using our website and placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read through them carefully. These terms apply to all purchases and interactions on sourdoughstoop.com.
General Information
Sourdough Stoop operates under the cottage law, which means we bake everything in small batches, with a focus on quality and care. All products are made for porch pickup or location pickup only—no shipping is available at this time.
Orders and Payment
When you place an order through our website, you are agreeing to pay the full amount for the items you’ve chosen. Payments are securely processed through WooCommerce, and we accept payments via credit/debit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Please ensure your details are correct before completing the order.
Once payment is processed, you will receive an email confirmation with details of your order, pickup location, and pickup window.
Pickup Only (No Shipping)
Please note, all products available on this website are for porch pickup or location pickup only. No shipping is available. Once you’ve placed your order, you will be given a designated pickup window to collect your fresh-baked goods from the agreed-upon location.
By placing an order, you are responsible for picking up your items during the designated pickup window. If you are unable to make it during that time, please contact us at info@sourdoughstoop.com as soon as possible.
All Sales Final
Because we are a small-batch bakery, and all of our products are perishable, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds unless there is an error on our part (e.g., wrong item, damaged goods). If you experience any issues with your order, please reach out to us within 7 days at info@sourdoughstoop.com, and we will work with you to make it right.
Cottage Law Compliance
Sourdough Stoop operates under Ohio’s cottage law, which allows us to sell homemade baked goods directly to customers. As such, all of our baked goods are made in a home kitchen and are subject to the regulations set forth by the Ohio Department of Agriculture for cottage food businesses.
By placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you are aware of these regulations and understand that our products are prepared in a home kitchen that is not licensed for commercial food production.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and handle your personal information with care. For details on how we collect, use, and protect your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy. This is also available on our website at all times.
Limitation of Liability
Sourdough Stoop will not be held liable for any damages or losses that arise from the use of our website or the consumption of our products. By using our website, you agree that Sourdough Stoop’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your order.
Modifications to the Terms
Sourdough Stoop reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes. By continuing to use our website after changes have been made, you agree to the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with Ohio state law.
